Brandon Mizroch 
The New STI Prevention Toolkit (Updated 5.16)
  • Brandon Mizroch,  BrandaCorp Public Health Consulting, LLC
Dr. Brandon Mizroch (He/Him) MD, MBBS Brandon attended medical school at the University of Queensland/Ochsner Health System joint degree program. After medical school he pivoted to work in public health? with the Louisiana Department of Health where he spent the next six years overseeing the academic detailing program for the Office of STDs/HIV/HCV. After working with physicians all over the state of Louisiana working on topics such as PrEP, PEP, syphilis prevention and treatment, and other infectious diseases, the office created the nation’s first state-level HCV elimination project. He helped create the education program that trained over 800 clinicians in delivering HCV care, resulting in curing over 12,000 people living with HCV. In 2022 Brandon moved to Salt Lake City, Utah oversee the academic detailing program for the Utah AIDS Education & Training Center where he works to continue their mission of improving the health of Utah’s most vulnerable members. In 2025 he started his own Public Health Consulting Company to continue this work with jurisdictions around the country.

Jill Ambuehl
Collaborative Strategies to Ending Hunger
  • Jill Ambuehl, Great Plains Food Bank
Jill Ambuehl is the Coalition Coordinator for the Great Plains Food Bank, where she oversees the Cass Clay Hunger Coalition and Creating a Hunger Free North Dakota. Her work is focused on collaboration and community-driven solutions to address food insecurity. As a member of the Ending Hunger 2.0 team, Jill collaborates with others to develop innovative approaches that address hunger across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota. Passionate about food security, she is dedicated to creating lasting change through strategic partnerships and community-based initiatives. Jill lives in Hawley, Minnesota with her husband and two children.

Lessons Learned from Responding to Measles Outbreaks Among Unvaccinated Minnesotan Children

- Emily Banerjee, MPH, is a senior epidemiologist specializing in infectious disease surveillance, outbreak response, and public health research. She leads measles, mumps, and rubella surveillance efforts in Minnesota, collaborating with national and international partners to maintain elimination status and improve vaccination strategies. She holds an MPH in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her research interests include vaccine-preventable diseases and the use of surveillance data to inform real-time public health action, especially during outbreaks. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, discovering new music, and spending time with her family.

-Ben Christianson is a Senior Epidemiologist at the Minnesota Department of Health. Ben has worked in the in Vaccine Preventable Disease section at MDH for the past 12 years. In his role at MDH, Ben is the lead epidemiologist in the Outreach and Partnerships unit at MDH and works on the school and child care immunization team. He completed his MPH in environmental health at the University of Minnesota, in 2011. Ben’s interests include vaccine hesitancy research and school and child care immunization policy. Outside of work, Ben enjoys running, fishing, and playing with his sons, Kai, and Noah.

Dr. Eric Crosbie
Commercial Determinants of Health: Solutions to Protect Public Health
  • Eric Crosbie, University of Nevada, Reno
Dr. Eric Crosbie is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno, who examines commercial determinants of health and public health policy. His research focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and examines how commercial industries (tobacco, food and beverage, alcohol, pharmaceutical and fossil fuel) are a key driver of the NCD epidemic and how they influence public health regulations. Dr. Crosbie has both local and international experience collaborating with health organizations and health advocates to educate and disseminate academic research findings to policymakers, including publishing research in Spanish to reach wider audiences. Overall his research is multi-disciplinary combining elements of public health, political science, international relations, economics, law and business to examine public health policy both locally and globally.

Mel Kleven
Introduction to Sanitation Field Evaluations
  • Mel Kleven, Nemko
With nearly 40 years of experience in product safety and compliance, Mel has spent approximately 20 years at Underwriters Laboratories (UL) as a Field Representative and Field Supervisor. In this role, he conducted, trained, and supervised Field Representatives in performing periodic, unannounced surveillance audits of UL-certified products. Following his tenure at UL, he spent another 20 years at Intertek-ETL, where he conducted around 800 electrical and sanitation field evaluations, ensuring compliance with industry standards. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from San Jose State University and an Associate of Science in Aviation Technologies from Glendale College in Glendale, CA.
